Statement from the Foreign Minister

To whom it may concern:

Welcome to the official Foreign Affairs Page of the Kingdom of Talossa, an independent, sovereign state in North America founded in December 1979.

General Information

The Kingdom of Talossa is the most successful and dynamic micronation in the history of the phenomenon. Over the last twenty years Talossa has attracted some eighty active and committed citizens to its unique political and cultural system. Persons interested in acquiring Talossan citizenship should visit our Citizenship Information Page maintained by the Minister for Immigration, R. Ben Madison.

Observers, students and "lurkers" of Talossa should please bear in mind that all foreign policy activities in the Kingdom of Talossa are handled by the Foreign Ministry and the Department for Micronational Affairs, only. If you send enquiries to other government officials, or to the King, these enquiries are being misdirected and may not be answered. Unlike many such micronations, Talossa is not a one-man project. Talossa is a society, and there are responsible officials for different jobs within it, just like any other real nation.

Diplomatic Contacts with Talossa

The Kingdom of Talossa presently offers to exchange Ambassadors with any nation which is a recognized legitimate member of the United Nations organization (UN). If you represent an actual nation and UN Member State, please contact the Foreign Minister, Matthias A. Muth, and we will be glad to begin negotiations with your government on mutually acceptable terms.

The Kingdom of Talossa presently offers to exchange Envoys with other nations including "micronations." This term covers a multitude of different types of projects, groups, clubs, individual endeavours, and societies. The Kingdom of Talossa welcomes this kind of diplomatic contact with micronations. If you represent a micronation, please contact the Director of Micronational Affairs, Albrec'ht Stolfi, and we will be glad to begin negotiations with your organization on mutually acceptable terms.

As part of its commitment to forming good relations with micronations, the Kingdom of Talossa is a founding member of the League of Secessionist States, founded in 1980. The Talossan Government encourages all its micronational partners to inquire about membership in the LOSS, which serves to co-ordinate and clarify partnerships between micronations on an equalitarian and non-judgemental basis.
